NEW ORLEANS, LA – Friends of the Cabildo, support organization for the Louisiana State Museum, will host its 30th annual Ghostly Gallivant Weekend, October 21st - 22nd. The two-day event is highlighted by the Ghostly Gallivant: Living History Courtyard Tours on Satuday and Sunday. The Friends will lead guests on a haunting and hilarious tour of the French Quarter. Ghosts, such as Jean Laffite, Earl Long and the Baroness Pontalba, may all be happened upon in French Quarter buildings and courtyards. Tours begin at 10am on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are only $25 for adults (+21), $10 for students and children (under 12) are free.

The weekend also has a Ghostly Gallivant Silent Auction that has feature items such as a George Rodrigue Print, 4 VIP Pelcians Tickets and gift certificates to multiple local restaurants. The silent auction can be accessed at

Founded in 1956, the Friends of the Cabildo (FOC) is 501(c)(3) organization that supports the Louisiana State Museum (LSM). The FOC assist the LSM through a variety of functions including providing volunteers and financial support to all State Museum properties in New Orleans and the state of Louisiana.
