With seven bands, a crawfish eating contest, art market, aerialist, kids’ activities, Mardi Gras Indians and more, the 5th annual Pinch A Palooza Festival & Crawfish Eating Contest at Deanie’s Seafood Restaurants’ original location in Bucktown kicks off New Orleans festival season with a daylong crawfish celebration. The lineup includes The Revivalists, Vince Vance & The Valiants, Bucktown All-Stars, Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs, plus Jonathon “Boogie” Long & the Blues Revolution, bluegrass duo Bill & Temperance, and Breakwater Drive. Reigning Pinch A Palooza Crawfish Eating champions The 610 Stompers and Big Chief Romeo Bougere & the Ninth Ward Hunters will perform.

Pinch A Palooza features a variety of crawfish dishes made famous by Deanie’s Seafood and more. Admission is free. Food and beverages are available for purchase.

Music, food, crafts, and more music! Outdoor stages host jazz, R&B, gospel, African, Caribbean, Cajun, blues, ragtime, folk, bluegrass, reggae and country music, with evening performances happening at venues all around town.
